Today, we reach the conclusion of this particular season preview countdown. Dating back to the first post over a month ago, 10 numbers to know, we’ve looked at various storylines entering the 2016 season. (A link to all of the previous 9 entries is at the end of this post).

With that said, I struggled the most with writing this one – 1 reason 2016 will be special.

It’s not that I don’t believe it will be special, because it will be. Everyone reading this will have their own reason why this season, 2016, will be special. The reason I struggled the most, was how do I pick just one reason?

I could say the Jacksonville State game, what an atmosphere that game will be.

I could predict that we will reach the playoffs.

I could talk about the new, up-tempo offense.

I could tell countless stories about the individuals on the team that sacrifice for our enjoyment.

I could mention one particular player and talk about how he will push us over the top and into the playoffs.

But no, none of those reasons are the reason why 2016 will be special. 2016 will be special because it’s LIBERTY FOOTBALL!!!
