Perry has committed to the Flames. He was named the Gaston Gazette Player of the year during his junior season as he set a county record with 42 RBIs and batting .486. Perry also added 7 home runs. He helped South Point win its third consecutive Big South 3A Conference title. Other schools to express interest in Perry include UNC Greensboro, Gardner-Webb, Winthrop, Kansas State, Penn State, and Indiana State.
