Zelis has offers from Liberty and Northern Illinois. He was a 3-star prospect, according to Rivals, coming out of high school with offers from Stetson, Central Michigan, and UC Irvine. Zelis was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee and a top 5 center in the state of Illinois for the class of 2013. He spent the 2013-14 season at Stetson where he redshirted, before transferring to Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. After spending the 2014-15 season at Kaskaskia, Zelis could be eligible to enroll at a Division I program for the 2015-16 season and would have 3 seasons of eligibility remaining.

If his height is accurate (not a sure thing by any means) he would be Liberty\’s first 7 footer ever.
Actually we had a guy in 1972 that was a bit over 7′, not sure he could dunk it though, he was definitely a project that didn’t work out. Wish I could remember his name. Didn’t get much PT. Maybe Ed Gomes will remember him, they played on the same team.
