Coach McKay offered his first 2016 prospect since returning to Liberty when he offered Hughes on an in-home visit on Tuesday. Hughes is a 3-star rated prospect according to both Rivals and 247Sports with numerous offers including Central Arkansas, Middle Tennessee State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Alabama, and Western Kentucky. He’s also received interest from Tennessee, Butler, and Virginia, to name a few. As a junior, he averaged 16.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game as his team went 21-8.
