Two-sport star and former Vanderbilt quarterback commit, Reese Mooney, has set an official visit date at Liberty for June 5-7, he announced on his personal twitter account.
The 6’1″, 200 pound quarterback is from Denham Springs, Louisiana where he attends Denham Springs High School. He de-committed from Vanderbilt last week. Mooney is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 27 quarterback in the class of 2023 and the No. 22 prospect in Louisiana. He has over 30 offers including Vanderbilt, Liberty, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Syracuse.
In October, Mooney named a top 11 of Vanderbilt, Liberty, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Florida Atlantic, Arkansas, Miami, Houston, and UAB. The talented passer is also a highly rated baseball player and aims to do both on the next level.
