Liberty has added Kaidon Whidby to its class of 2024 commitments, he has announced.

Whidby is a 6’1″, 225 pound linebacker from Jasper County High School in Monticello, Georgia. He has offers from Liberty, Georgia State, Eastern Michigan, and others.

He finished the 2022 season with 36 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 4 forced fumbles. Whidby has also played on the offensive side of the ball during his high school career where he has 70 rushes for 476 yards and 6 touchdowns and 11 receptions for 215 yards and another score during his career.

Whidby is the 7th commitment in the Class of 2024 for the Flames and the 5th one to announce in the past week. He becomes the first linebacker in the class.
