Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia has become one of the stronger football programs in the state and the country. They have produced a number of highly rated recruits that have been recruited by all of the household names throughout the college football world.
LCA has another talented prospect on their hands in Class of 2025 running back Gideon Davidson. The 5’11”, 185 pound rising sophomore has been courted by a who’s who list of college programs already. He has racked up offers from Liberty, Ohio State, Oregon, Miami, Penn State, Virginia, Louisville, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest
Davidson is coming of a freshman year at LCA where he helped lead the Bulldogs to a 13-1 record and the Virginia Class 3 state championship where they lost to Phoebus. In his first high school season, Davidson had 112 carries for 1,241 yards and 19 touchdowns.
He is also a talented track athlete as he was part of the 1,000 Swedish Medley Relay championship team from LCA, placing fourth in the event and earning National Scholastic Athletics Foundation Nike All-American honors. Davidson also placed third in the freshman long jump and freshman 100 dash.
Liberty has offered Davidson, and the talented running back has taken visits to the campus. As his high school career continues to develop, we will have to follow his progress to see where he ends up. On3 Sports currently gives Liberty the second best odds to land Davidson with a 15.2% chance, coming in only behind Virginia who has a 33.2% chance currently.
