Liberty got an early Christmas present on National Signing Day when former Texas A&M commit Kaci Seegars signed with the Flames. The 3-star prospect is from Charlotte, North Carolina where he played for Hough High School. The 6’2″, 210 pound standout had a number of offers, choosing Liberty over Texas A&M, Missouri, Kansas State, and NC State.
Seegars was originally committed to Texas A&M and chose just this past weekend to de-commit and said he was going to wait until the second signing period to find his college home. Prior to his senior season, Seegars played at Charlotte Ardrey Kell before making the move over to William Amos Hough. As a junior, Seegars finished with 49 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles. On offense he ran for 207 yards and four touchdowns.
Seegars is rated as the No. 61 outside linebacker in the 2021 class, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker also holds offers from Kansas State, Missouri, NC State and others.
