Faulks forced his way into the starting lineup as a true sophomore in 2017, starting 6 of the final 8 games of the season at boundary cornerback. He finished the season with 15 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and an interception. He now moves into the role of being a leader and everyday starter in the secondary alongside Jeremy Peters. The Flames will count on him as they move into the FBS and face more potent passing attacks than seen in the Big South and FCS.
