With Memorial Day now in the rearview, we all have turned our attention to the summer. While you’re busy making memories at the pool and the beach, we will be watching these Six Summer Storylines:
1. Realignment!!!
It’s been a major storyline each summer since Jerry Jr and Jeff Barber announced our intentions of moving FBS. Will this year finally be the year?
2. Toman Watch
Each of the past 2-3 summers, we’ve been on Jim Toman Watch. Will this year finally be the year the Flames’ 8-year skipper answers the call from another school?
3. Men’s basketball roster
There’s already been lots of movement on the men’s basketball roster, will there be any additions this summer? What will the final roster look like for the 2015-16 season?
4. McKay’s first season
In addition to the roster, we’ll be following several other aspects of first-year (for the 2nd time) head coach Ritchie McKay’s men’s basketball team. How will the schedule look? How much of the pack-line will be installed for this season? What will the offense look like? Will there be a summer foreign tour (they’re due for one)?
5. Gary Sampson & J.T. Bradwell’s status
The recent news of safety Gary Sampson and quarterback J.T. Bradwell being removed from the football team raises plenty of questions that must be answered this summer.
6. Williams Stadium upgrades
There are several updates going on this summer at Williams Stadium including new turf and a new video board. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the progress.
