#64 for the Flames this season is Hunter Steward. The 6’7″ 290 pound offensive lineman is from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach. Steward is originally from Canada, but moved to Virginia Beach prior to his senior year. He started his college career at Virginia where he spent two seasons before transferring to Liberty. Steward originally transferred to the Flames as a defensive lineman, but following the 2011 season he transitioned to the offensive line where he has become a starter at left tackle. He started all 11 games in 2012 at left tackle, and is slated to do so again heading into the 2013 campaign.
Steward was selected #6 overall in the 2013 CFL Draft in May by the BC Lions, and plans to join the team following the 2013 season.
