Liberty (6-19, 0-12) hosts Campbell (9-16, 3-9) Tuesday night at 8pm. We’re switching up our 7 things to know slightly, as we focus on 7 things to know about the Flames.
1. Liberty’s current RPI is 349.
That’s out of 351 Division I teams. The Flames have hovered around that mark, anywhere from 348-351 all season.
2. A loss by the Flames, would tie the program record for most conference losses in a season.
In 2005-06, Liberty finished 3-13 under head coach Randy Dunton.
3. Peter Moller is out indefinitely and will not play against Campbell.
The freshman guard is headed back to be with his family in Denmark as his mother battles through some health issues.
4. Liberty has lost 13 consecutive Big South regular season games and 14 consecutive Big South games overall.
Both marks are program records.
5. If Liberty loses out, they will set a program record for most losses in a season with 26.
LU finished the 2000-01 season with 25 losses under head coach Mel Hankinson.
6. One more loss this season, and the Flames will have 20 losses on the year for the 3rd consecutive season.
It would be Liberty’s 3rd straight 20+ loss season which would be the first time in school history the Flames have lost 20+ games in 3 straight seasons.
7. The Campbell game is one of Liberty’s best chances to win a game this season.
Both KenPom and Team Rankings predict this game to be the Flames’ 2nd most likely win this season. KenPom gives LU a 31% chance a at a victory while Team Rankings puts it at 44.3%.
