Liberty closes out the regular season against Gardner-Webb on Saturday at noon. Here’s what you need to know about the game:
1. The Runnin’ Bulldogs are 15-14 overall and 10-7 in Big South play.

They have won 2 straight and 5 out of their last 7, but have not played since last Saturday.
2. In the team’s last meeting, Liberty won 69-55 in Boiling Springs.
It was in the midst of the Flames’ 7 game winning streak and was the 4th straight loss for GWU.
3. Tyrell Nelson is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

4. The 5th seed, and final first-round bye, will be either Liberty, Gardner-Webb, or Radford.
All 3 teams are still in the mix based on how the games shake out on Saturday.
5. Liberty clinches the 5 seed with a win over GWU and a Radford loss.
The Highlanders host Longwood at 4pm. KenPom gives Radford an 84% chance at winning the game.
6. The Flames could also finish as either the 6 or 7 seed.
If Liberty loses to Gardner-Webb, the Flames will be the 7 seed. If the Flames beat GWU and Radford beats Longwood, Liberty will be the 6 seed.
7. John Dawson has failed to reach double figures in consecutive games for the first time in his Liberty career.
