Apon is one of Liberty’s leading returning receivers from a season ago where he caught 5 passes for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had turned many heads during camp, and was going to be counted on as a receiving threat in an offense that lacks many experienced receivers.
Expect senior Peter Gagliardi and redshirt-freshman Canon Smith to look to fill in for Apon during his absence.
