On New Year’s Eve, Liberty head coach Jamey Chadwell and the Flames picked up a late Christmas gift as Arkansas transfer running back announced his commitment to the Flames.
Jointer was a freshman during the 2022 season, announcing his intentions to transfer from Arkansas in November. He played in just one game for the Razorbacks, recording three rushing attempts for nine yards against Auburn. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Jointer is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas where he was a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He was rated as the No. 8 player in the state of Arkansas and the No. 49 running back in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Playing at Little Rock Parkview High School, Jointer ran 183 times for 1,309 yards (7.2 ypc) and 16 touchdowns during his senior season. He also rushed for over 1,000 yards as a junior. Jointer chose Arkansas out of high school over offers from Florida State, Missouri, Tennessee, Michigan, and others.
Jointer will join a new look Liberty running back room after TJ Green’s eligibility has expired and Dae Dae Hunter as entered the transfer portal. Jointer will join returners Shedro Louis and Malik Caper, as well as Wake Forest transfer Quinton Cooley.
