On Monday night, I joined the Fast Lane with Ed Lane to discuss Liberty football against Kennesaw State and what the Flames need to do to have a complete game moving forward. We also discussed the Tony Bennett stepping down in Charlottesville and what impact, if any, that could potentially have on Liberty’s program.

We discussed the impact of Liberty’s extended layoff with only playing one football game in 32 days. We also talked about what the offense needs to do to hit its full stride and ceiling, as well as the tough games remaining on the schedule beginning next week against Jacksonville State who is playing much better football the last few weeks.
With Tony Bennett stepping down as Virginia’s head coach, we also discussed if Bennett could potentially be a candidate to take over the Flames’ men’s basketball program at any point if Coach McKay retired. What about the prospects of Bennett joining his good friend McKay on staff at Liberty at some point in the future?
