*Update* – According to a statement by Liberty Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr, Liberty Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach has been placed on “administrative leave.”
As we reported previously, Eaker pled guilty to “POSSESS SCH I/II CON SUBSTANCE” which is a class 5 felony charge. He faces 12 months probation and 6 months suspended license.
Eaker began at Liberty in 2005 as Director of Basketball Operations, under former coach Randy Dunton. In 2007, he was promoted to Assistant Basketball Coach. Currently, the longest tenured men’s basketball coach at Liberty, Eaker has worked under 3 Liberty coaches – Randy Dunton, Ritchie McKay, and Dale Layer.
