The baseball championship is held at Liberty this year and starts May 21. From the Big South’s website on how teams are seeded:
The two division champions shall be automatically seeded No. 1 and No. 2 based on winning percentage in Conference competition. The remaining teams shall be seeded three through eight based on winning percentage without regard to division. The Championship will feature a double-elimination format to determine two bracket winners for a one game “winner-take-all” championship game.
Based on the criteria, the North division could have all but one team (VMI) in the tournament next week, while the South Division only qualifies three.
