Week in Review:
Liberty was scheduled to play Radford in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to weather. No makeup date has been announced.
The Flames opened up the brand new Liberty Baseball Stadium with a 3 game series sweep over Penn State. Liberty won 4-1, 12-3, and 6-1. The Flames winning pitchers were Matt Marsh, Adam Parks, and Brooks Roy. Ashton Perritt picked up his 2nd save of the young season in the series opener on Saturday.
Player of the Week:
Catcher Trey Wimmer
Wimmer opened up the beautiful new ballpark in style batting 6/9 in the weekend series. The senior captain had one stolen base, six RBI’s, four runs, three doubles, and two triples. He also had the go-ahead RBI single in the 7th inning of game 1.
