It seems the recruiting cycle is taking many more twists and turns very late in the process this year as opposed to the past few seasons. Some of this has to do with the big snowstorm that blanketed Lynchburg last weekend, forcing Liberty to cancel several official visits and set them for this weekend, the final weekend before signing day on Wednesday. There’s also been a few FBS schools swooping in at the last minute to offer (and steal 2) some of Liberty’s commitments.
Because of these factors, this weekend sets up to be one of the biggest, and busiest, recruiting weekend the Flames’ have had. To this point, we’ve been able to confirm 11 who will be taking an official visit this weekend:
8 who have already verballed
RB Mitchell Lewis
OL Damian Bounds, Jr
OL Aidan Burroughs
OL Ethan Crawford
DE Michael Anderson
LB Korell Evans
S Brandon Tillmon
K Alex Probert
3 who are not LU commits
WR Lionel McConnell
OL Julio Lozano
S Ceneca Espinoza, Jr
Coach Gill and staff will definitely have the red carpet rolled out for these guys this weekend and will be working overtime.
There’s sure to be some more movement this weekend, both with those who are listed here and other prospects listed in our update from Wednesday, and we will keep you updated all weekend.
