After week five, things are starting to heat up near the top of our leaderboard. Here’s the official scoreboard, reflecting dropped scores (in gray), and our weekly winners (in green).
And here’s last week’s scores:
Over half of the field is within 23 points of each other, so the race to our grand prize should be exciting! This should be a great week to make your move up the leaderboard, so go ahead and begin picking.
As usual, leave your answers in the comments. Best of luck!
Multiple Choice:
1. Tyrell Maxwell will pass for over 125 yards.
A) Yes
B) No
He’s averaging exactly 100 passing yards per game, but I expect the Runnin’ Bulldogs to be forced to pass the ball if they fall behind, and Liberty’s secondary has been suspect.
2. Who will record more sacks, Chima Uzowihe or G-Webb.
A) Chima
B) G-Webb
On the season, Uzowihe has the Gardner-Webb defense beat 6.5 to 6 total sacks.
3. Which score margin will be higher, Coastal vs. Presbyterian, or Liberty vs. Gardner-Webb?
A) Coastal/Presby
B) Liberty/G-Webb
4. Will Liberty have over or under 60 penalty yards?
A) Over
B) Under
The Flames are averaging 64 penalty yards per contest.
5. How many reception yards will Zac Parker record?
A) less than 50
B) 50-75
C) 75-100
D) 100+
He’s actually Liberty’s leading receiver, and is averaging 60 yards per game.
6. Who will score the first Liberty touchdown (5 points)?

Bold Predictions (Pick 3)
1. Flames hold all receivers under 50 yards.
Gardner-Webb actually doesn’t have a single receiver that is averaging 50+ yards per game, but with the Flames’ leaky secondary, this one is a risk.
2. More than 56 total points will be scored.
Gardner-Webb has only scored 49 total points through 4 games. If this Bold Prediction comes to fruition, it will likely be the Flames who do most of the work.
3. Woodrum throws 2 interceptions.
He’s only thrown one on the entire season.
4. Gardner-Webb wins time of possession battle.
Liberty showed last week that they can dominate time of possession, and it may be tough for the lackluster Runnin’ Bulldog offense to stay on the field.
5. Gardner-Webb wins or keeps within single digits.
We’ve seen LU struggle on the road in the past, and this is Gardner-Webb’s homecoming.
6. LU offensive line doesn’t allow a single sack.
They are giving up less than two sacks per game, and G-Webb doesn’t have a very good pass rush.
7. Pick a Big South Player of the Week.
If you choose this one, pick a player that you think will win the Big South offensive, defensive, special teams, or freshman player of the week this week.
Submissions must be in by 5 P.M. on Saturday.

Should I have 11 from last week, hopefully I won’t score that low again but just in case. The chart has me picking A for number 1 but I didn’t get the two points for it.
Yes. Sorry for another mistake! Thanks for double checking
Don’t worry about the board from last week, it was done with excel formulas, and I’m having a tough time figuring out the problem. The main thing is that it’s now correct on the overall leaderboard.

Sorry typed it in wrong, meant to choose 1, 6, 7 (Abnar)******
A TD pass from Woodrum would not count. It’ll only count for whoever is the actual scorer on the play.
So I’ve got you down for Petey for first to score.

If someone had predicted GWU to win and Tyrell Maxwell to be the Big South Offensive Player of the Week, he would deserve to be crowned Bold Predictions champ right now.
I know. AND if he’d predicted that Maxwell would still throw less than 125.. what a weird week. only 2 people predicted Gwebb to even come within single digits.. they beat that spread by 25.
Oh and how bout the GWebb LU game margin being higher than the Coastal Presby margin, but with the outcome flipped from what everyone probably guessed.
