After a huge week 2 of our Bold Predictions Challenge, we take a look at the first ever top 15 matchup at Williams Stadium. You guys killed it last week, with over half of the field getting all three of their Bold Predictions correct. Looks like I’ll have to step it up as the game master.

After two weeks of play, here is our leaderboard. Note that this does not reflect a dropped score as everyone will have their lowest score dropped at the end of the year, so really no one is out of contention, as with dropped scores, our leaders are Wahoo and GlobalAdvance with 26 points.

Remember, the winner will be awarded with two away game tickets of their choice, so keep it up, there is still a long way to go.

You all know the drill:

expectations1. Will the Liberty, Montana game break the Williams Stadium attendance record?

A) Yes

B) No

The current attendance record is 20,838 vs. Richmond. While that game certainly had some huge storylines with Danny Rocco’s homecoming, know that there is CFAW and Parent’s Weekend this week for a Montana team that is ranked 7th in the nation.

2. Will the combined total score be over or under 56 points?

A) Over

B) Under

C) Push

petey3. Who will record more reception yards?

A) Darrin Peterson

B) Jamaal Jones

Peterson is currently average 73 reception yards per game to Jones’ 102, but Petey didn’t play the second half against WVU. It should be very close between these two.

4. Will Rashad Jennings be the subject of another article featured on the ESPN Facebook Page, by next Tuesday?

A) Yes

B) No

Jennings has already been the subject of 4 articles featured on the ESPN Facebook page in just three days after the Sunday Night Football fiasco, in which he was told not to score in one of the worst clock and game management blunders I’ve ever witnessed. While the story continues to be a hot topic on ESPN, I don’t know how much more can be written on the subject.

5. Who will win?

A) Liberty

B) Montana

vmi6. Which player will be first out of the tunnel for the pre-game run-out (5 points)?

Bold Predictions (pick 3)

1. There will be no fumble turnovers in the game.

anigif_enhanced-buzz-30693-1354824207-1Liberty has neither recovered nor lost a fumble through two games. Pretty odd. Do you think the streak will stay alive?

2. Montanna will have 3+ False Start/Delay of Game penalties.

Montana seems to think that the noise at Williams Stadium will not be a factor. We’ll see if the Liberty student’s are able to surprise the Grizzlies.

3.Woodrum passes for more yards than Brady Gustafson.

Gustafson is averaging 393 passing yards per game (yes you read that correctly), while Woodrum is averaging a respectable 234.

4. All other Big South teams win their match-ups.

Outside of Liberty, the Big South should be the favorite in every game, except maybe Monmouth @Wagner.

5. Liberty doesn’t win any Conference Player of the Week awards.

The Flames will have the chance to claim a Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, Special Teams Player of the Week, and Freshman of the Week. Granted the Flames are playing the toughest Big South opponent this week, so it could be tough to rack up the stats that other players are getting.

masha6. Stephon Masha will get a touch during the game.

By the end of last season Masha had found a variety of roles in the offense, including rushing the ball for the Flames. If this game is lopsided, one way or the other, there is a very good chance he could come in at quarterback as well.

7. John Lunsford is perfect on field goals and hits a 45+ yarder.

I think the WVU performance will be an outlier for Lunsford this year. He’ll have a good chance to get back on track this week.
