Turner Gill and staff have picked up a commitment from quarterback J.T. Bradwell. Bradwell is a 6’2″, 200 pound quarterback from Tallahassee, Florida where he attends Amos P. Godby High School. He chose Liberty after taking an official visit during the weekend of the Coastal Carolina game, and also had offers from Arkansas State, Georgia State, Samford, South Alabama, and South Dakota.
Coach Gill and staff quickly pursued Bradwell following the decommitment of quarterback Terrance Ervin. Coach Gill was on hand October 11th to watch him, and then Bradwell visited campus the following week.
Last season he threw for 2,440 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions as he led Godby to a 15-1 record and the 5A Florida state championship. In the state championship game, played in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Bradwell rushed for 67 yards and 1 touchdown and passed for another 108 yards. This season Bradwell is 74/134 passing for 1,597 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. He has also rushed the ball 79 times for 489 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Bradwell is 23-2 as a starter during his high school career.
