Liberty was ranked 25 in the week nine AP Top 25 Poll for the first time in the school’s history.
Liberty has started out this season red hot with a 6-0 record. They did not play on Saturday as they are on a bye week. Earlier this season, Liberty managed to break records with getting votes for the top 25 each week.
When the week 9 rankings came out, Liberty managed to finish just two spots outside of the top 25. This program entered the FBS just two years ago in 2018. Liberty will utilize this off week to prepare for their next matchup against Virginia Tech, as they look to improve to 7-0.
Currently Liberty is 19-point underdogs against Virginia Tech, despite Virginia Tech not being a ranked team at all.
