Ritchie McKay has announced that Brock Gardner will be transferring.
“We respect Brock’s decision to move on and we cannot thank him enough for his dedication to the program,” Coach McKay said in a release. “Brock is a great person and we wish him nothing but the best in his future.”
Gardner made 8 starts during his freshman campaign and played in all 35 games, averaging 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while playing 18 minutes per contest. He’s originally from Chandler, Arizona, and was majoring in Aviation. His sister, Macey Gardner, was an assistant on Liberty’s volleyball team for the 2016 season. Macey was hired this summer at her alma-mater Arizona State University as an assistant.
