For the first time this season, redshirt senior forward Caleb Homesley has earned ASUN Player of the Week honors. He was named Preseason ASUN Player of the Year prior to the season following his first-team all-ASUN performance a year ago.
Homesley guided Liberty to two wins to open ASUN conference play last week. He averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game in wins over Florida Gulf Coast and NJIT. The ASUN Preseason Player of the Year shot 19-of-31 (61.3%) from the field and 4-of-11 (36.3%) from 3-point range on the week.
Homesley joins Scottie James and Myo Baxter-Bell who have also been named ASUN Player of the Week earlier this season, James doing so twice.
The Flames are now 16-1 overall and 2-0 in ASUN play and will return home for the first time in over a month when they host North Alabama Thursday night.
