Liberty head coach Turner Gill announced during Tuesday afternoon’s press conference that true freshman Stephen “Buckshot” Calvert will be the starting quarterback against Robert Morris.
Calvert has played in all 4 games this season, completing 25 of his 56 passing attempts for 313 yards with 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Calvert replaces redshirt-junior and captain Stephon Masha who started the first 4 games of this season. Masha is 34-of-69 passing for 327 yards, 3 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
