One of the biggest thrills of the bowl game experience for the players is the extra Christmas gifts they receive at their bowl destination.
The Liberty Flames are preparing to travel out west to the Phoenix, Arizona area to play in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl. The No. 23 Flames (13-0) will take on No. 8 Oregon (11-2) on New Year’s Day with kickoff from State Farm Stadium scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. Liberty will make the trip out there just after Christmas to spend New Year’s weekend in sunny Arizona.
According to the bowl game’s media relations staff, each player will receive:
- a Fiesta Bowl Varsity Jacket featuring the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and university logos on each arm,
- a custom Bumpboxx (a branded old-school style boombox with modern technology),
- a branded duffel bag.
