Liberty has added a commitment from Colorado transfer running back Victor Venn.
Venn is a 5’10”, 175 pound running back who spent this past season at Colorado. He has four years of eligibility remaining and did not record any stats for the Buffaloes this past season as he redshirted. Since entering the portal, Venn has received offers from Liberty, Memphis, Georgia State, and others.
Rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Venn had two dozen scholarship offers out of high school. He rushed for 3,010 yards and 36 touchdowns during his prep career. As a senior, Venn was named All-State after rushing for 957 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He will step into a running back room that has lost Shedro Louis and Dae Dae Hunter to the transfer portal as well as the graduation of TJ Green. The Flames have sought to bring in an infusion of talent to the position since the end of the 2022 season. Transfers Quinton Cooley and James Jointer joined the team prior to the spring as did true freshman Vaughn Blue.
