The 2024 CUSA Tournament in Huntsville, Alabama is inching closer. Here is our updated CUSA Power Rankings, based on games played through February 19.

The Hilltoppers continue their strong play, picking up two wins this week at home against UTEP and New Mexico State. They have now won five straight and are just half a game behind the conference leaders.

2. Louisiana Tech #71 (18-8, 8-3)

After suffering two setbacks last week, the Bulldogs bounced back with wins over Jacksonville State and FIU on their home floor. Perhaps more impressive is they did it wi thout their potential first team all-conference performer Daniel Batcho who missed with a reported leg injury. There has been no apparent timetable for his return, but, as they head on the road this week, La Tech could certainly use his services as they attempt to remain in contention for the regular season title.

3. Sam Houston #185 (15-11, 8-3)

The Bearkats took care of business this week at home, knocking off FIU and Liberty to remain in a first place tie with Louisiana Tech. Sam Houston will attempt to remain even with the Bulldogs as they both hit the road this week.

The Flames saw their three game win streak come to an end on Saturday night, falling at Sam Houston. Liberty fell behind 18-2 in the opening minutes and a late surge was not enough to overcome the slow start.

5. Middle Tennessee #287 (11-15, 5-6)

The Blue Raiders continue their strong play, winning both tames against New Mexico State and UTEP. After a very slow start to conference play, MTSU has now won three in a row and five out of seven to move into the middle of the pack.

6. Jacksonville State #170 (12-14, 4-7)

The Gamecocks had just one game this week, falling to Louisiana Tech. They will look to get back on track at home in the midweek against Middle Tennessee.

The Miners dropped two on the road at Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee. They play La Tech and Sam Houston at home this week.

The Aggies dropped both of their contests this week, both on the road. Now, they face the conference co-leaders at home in Sam Houston and Louisiana Tech.

The Panthers lost to Sam Houston and Louisiana Tech, both on the road this week. After a 2-1 league start, FIU has now lost 6 of 7 to fall into the conference basement. They have two winnable games against middle of the pack teams on their home floor in Miami this week.
