Liberty commit Ezra Odinjor announced his decommitment from the Flames on Sunday afternoon. The defensive end prospect from Allatoona High School in Acworth, Georgia has reopened his commitment.
Odinjor is a 6’3″, 220 pound defensive lineman that is rated as a three-star prospect by On3 Sports and 247 Sports. When he committed to Liberty in August, he also held offers from Jacksonville State, Tulane, Toledo, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, UAB, Air Force, Marshall, Appalachian State, Troy, Miami Ohio, Arkansas State, Charlotte, East Carolina, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina and several FCS schools.
He announced his decommitment on his social media accounts, saying, “I’m very thankful to Liberty because without them I wouldn’t have been able to truly grasp what this process meant for me. As an athlete, I’m blessed and happy to have them as a part of my story and journey. After long consideration with my peers and family I’ve decided to decommit from Liberty University.”
Since the start of his senior year in high school, Odinjor has picked up offers from Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, and Washington State. Prior to his game this past weekend, he had 45 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks in his team’s first six games.
Liberty’s Class of 2023 is currently at 15 commitments after this news. It includes pledges from defensive linemen Eliyt Nairne, Donovan Dozier, Mamadou Cissokho, and JaQuize Buycks.
