Louisiana Tech story line

The Bulldogs are one of the more storied programs that remain in Conference USA despite coming off consecutive 3-9 seasons. Under 2nd year head coach Sonny Cumbie, who has been recruiting strong and returns a good core, expect Louisiana Tech to show significant improvement this fall. They will likely contend for a bowl game and could be a sleeper pick to challenge for a spot in the CUSA Title game.

A Liberty win would mean

Despite the November date, this will be Homecoming for the Flames due to the midweek games during the month of October. This is Liberty’s penultimate conference game of the 2023 regular season and the conference race will be somewhat settled at this point in the season. A win would start a three game home stand that could help the team finish on a high note despite how the rest of the season has developed.

A Liberty loss would mean

A loss for the Flames on Homecoming in November would be disappointing. Liberty is expected to be a favorite in this game, but the Bulldogs will be seeking some respect all year in 2023.
