The Division I college football season officially started this past weekend with Austin Peay and Central Arkansas facing off Saturday evening on ESPN. Now, as the calendar turns to September, Liberty’s season opener on Sept. 19 at Western Kentucky is just a couple weeks away.
The ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) released their power rankings and projections this week, and based on their ratings system Liberty is predicted to win 4.7 games out of the team’s 10 scheduled games this season.
Following the season opener at Western Kentucky, which is scheduled for a 12:00 PM eastern kickoff on an ESPN network to be named, Liberty returns home for three straight games beginning with Florida International on Sept. 26.
