In a four-person prediction panel predicting the winners of each 2021 conference tournament, ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, Jeff Borzello, John Gasaway, and Joe Lunardi all had the same prediction for the ASUN Tournament in Jacksonville.
The four all picked the ASUN regular season champion Liberty Flames to three-peat as ASUN Tournament Champions this weekend. This does not come as much of a surprise as the Flames are heavy favorites by most projections entering the ASUN Tournament.
Liberty, fresh off a win at Bellarmine Saturday that secured the regular season title, will open play in the ASUN Tournament on Thursday at 2 pm with a quarterfinal match up against 8-seed Kennesaw State. Bellarmine checks in as the 2-seed while Lipscomb, who has advanced to the ASUN Championship Game each of the past three seasons, is the 3-seed.
The entire ASUN Tournament will be played in Jacksonville, Florida, at either UNF Arena or Jacksonville’s Swisher Gym. All quarterfinal games will be played on Thursday while the semifinals will be played on Friday. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 2 pm on ESPN.
