In a somewhat surprise move, Florida Atlantic and Middle Tennessee State will be leaving the Sun Belt Conference on July 1 of this year. The two schools were originally scheduled to make their move to Conference USA in 2014. No word yet on how this will effect the Sun Belt’s efforts to replace the two, but it does put pressure on the league to find new members sooner rather than later.
