DB Ricky Lester
Lester is a 2 star rated prospect that had offers from several FCS schools including Northern Colorado, Abilene Christian, and Incarnate Word. He had committed to Northern Colorado in September before the FBS Flames got involved. Lester is a 6’2″, 175 pound prospect from Houston, Texas where he attends St. Pius X. Lester finished his senior season with 137 tackles, 9 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles, and 3 sacks.
QB Brandon Robinson
Robinson is a 6’4″, 210 pound quarterback from Irvington High School in Irvington, New Jersey. He also had reported offers from Central Michigan and Elon. Robinson finished his senior season with 2,038 passing yards and 21 touchdowns and 409 rushing yards and 5 additional touchdowns.
DB Marcellous Harris
Harris is a 6’0″, 190 pound defensive back that attends Harding University High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, the same school that produced former Flame and current Miami Dolphins defensive back Walt Aikens. Harris had numerous FCS offers and offers from Navy and Army. He was the 3rd verbal commitment of the class as he committed to Coach Gill and staff all the way back in June. Harris finished his senior season with 52 tackles, 5 pass breakups and 1 touchdown.
DB Javon Scruggs
Scruggs, a defensive back from nearby Appomattox, committed to Coach Gill and the Flames in November. The 6’0″, 175 pound prospect plays quarterback and safety for the Raiders who are 3 time defending 2A State Champions. Scruggs took over as the quarterback prior to the 2016 season, his first year playing on the offensive side of the field. He also had an offer from Marshall. Scruggs finished his career with 342 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 15 interceptions, 32 pass breakups and 6 blocked punts. He was the 2017 VHSL Class 2 Defensive Player of the Year.
TE Chris Barrett
Barrett is a 6’3″, 240 pound tight end from Clearwater, Florida and Countryside High School. He spent this past season playing JUCO ball at ASA Miami where he had 10 receptions for 114 yards in 5 games. Out of high school, Barrett was ranked the number 75 tight end prospect in the country. He signed and spent the 2016 season at Georgia Southern where he redshirted prior to transferring to ASA. He also has an offer from Bowling Green. Coming out of high school, Barrett had numerous offers including Toledo, Buffalo, South Florida, and Middle Tennessee State, in addition, obviously, to Georgia Southern.
DB Isaac Steele
Steele is a junior college defensive back from Mesa Community College. The 6’0″, 180 product from Surprise, Arizona attended Centennial High School. He also had an offer from Northern Arizona. He was a walk-on at Arizona in 2016. In 2017, he finished with 47 tackles, 7 pass breakups and an interception. Steele was a 2 star recruit out of high school.
DE Jessie Lemonier
Lemonier is a JUCO transfer from Ventura College in Ventura, California who had offers from Miami (OH), New Mexico, Portland State, and UMass. He finished the 2017 season with 79 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and 1 interception. He graduated from Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Florida, and he is the younger brother of Corey Lemonier, an All-SEC linebacker from Auburn who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the 49ers.
