The Flames hosted several high school prospects on Saturday for its annual Junior Day event. During the event, Liberty picked up its first commitment for the 2019 class in kicker Jason Stricker, according to his twitter profile.
The 6’1″, 160 pound prospect has received interest from numerous programs, but Liberty is his first offer. He attends Marvin Ridge High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following his junior season this past year, he was named the Southern Carolina Conference All Conference Specialist and Special Teams Player of the Year. 52 of his 59 kickoffs went for touchbacks this past season while also connecting on 13 of his 14 extra points and 6 of his 7 field goals with a long of 51.
