The Flames opened training camp under Hugh Freeze Saturday evening, and, if the first day any indication, we are in for a special season.
Immediately following the practice, the Flames’ coaching staff received two verbal commitments, both from offensive linemen. These are the first two O-Line commits in the class, bringing the Class of 2020 to 15 total commitments. The first one to become public is Ben May.
May is a 6’5″, 280 pound guard from Carrollton, Georgia and Mt. Zion High School. He was recently named to the preseason all-state team. May had over 20 offers and narrowed them to a final 3 of Liberty, UAB, and Kent State. Some of his other offers included Coastal Carolina, Central Michigan, and Louisiana.
