Liberty will look to get back on track with a win Monday night at Radford. The Flames and Highlanders will tip at 7pm in a game that will be carried on the Big South Network and LFSN.
The Highlanders are currently tied for first place in the Big South standings at 4-1 in league play, 1 game ahead of the Flames at 3-2. 6’5″ junior forward Ed Polite, Jr. paces Radford with 13.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
The Flames are attempting to win consecutive games at the Dedmon Center as Liberty knocked off the Highlanders in both regular season meetings a season ago. Radford, as the 6 seed, upset 3 seed Liberty in the quarterfinals of the Big South Tournament in the teams’ previous meeting.
Radford leads the all-time series between the in-state rivals, 38-33. Head coach Ritchie McKay is 4-5 all-time against the Highlanders.
