Coach McKay and Liberty offered 2018 prospect Kyler Edwards on Monday. Edwards is a 4 star rated prospect according to 247Sports with numerous offers including Texas Tech, LSU, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Nebraska, SMU, Kansas State, USC, New Mexico, and Oklahoma State. Edwards is the son of Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame member Kelvin Edwards.
The elder Edwards was one of seven inductees honored as part of the Athletics Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in 2009. He starred for the football program in the 1980s, and was drafted in the 4th round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Kyler is a 6’4″, 195 pound prospect from Arlington, Texas and Bowie High School.
