Liberty will receive $1 million from Rutgers for this weekend’s game to be played at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey.

The Flames opened as 4-point road favorites against the Scarlet Knights of the Big Ten, the line has already moved to Liberty -7. Rutgers is 1-6 on the season, having dropped 6 straight since a season opening win over UMass, 48-21.

Rutgers head coach Chris Ash was fired earlier this season as was offensive coordinator John McNulty. Tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile is the interim head coach for the remainder of the season. The Scarlet Knights have been shutout three times this season and scored seven points or fewer in five of seven games.

The game will kickoff Saturday at noon on the Big Ten Network.
