We have learned of 7 commitments from Offensive Lineman for the 2013 football class. This doesn’t include the January enrollment of 3 Offensive Lineman – Cody Gochenouer, Jonathan Burgess, and Austin Parker. Clearly there has been a focus on the offensive line by the coaching staff for this class. It’s nearly unheard of to have 7 true freshman in one signing class that are just offensive lineman. It’s even unheard of for FBS schools, who have more scholarships to offer, to have this many offensive lineman in one recruiting class.
These newcomers to the Offensive Line will join returning starters Greg Ray, Hunter Steward, Mitch Hanson, and Malcolm Boyd, and will look to replace departed seniors Jay Weatherington, Stan Herring, and Aaron Lundy who all started a game or more during the 2012 season.
It will be interesting to see how these 10 new offensive lineman figure into the rotation in 2013 and the following 4 seasons. They could turn out to be the foundation of Liberty Football as we, hopefully, move into the FBS.
Offensive Lineman Committed:
Dylan Brucki
Avery Easton
Leonard Hunt
Jesse Karnezis
Lucas Holder
Blanchard Sanwuou
Kris Wilson
NATIONAL SIGNING DAY 2013: Wednesday, February 6
Any chance any of these will be converted to DL? Just think it’s interesting that there are so many and only 1 dl.
