Liberty head coach Turner Gill has announced the addition of Christian Morgan to the roster. Morgan is a 6’4″, 255 pound tight end originally from Plano, Texas.
He enrolled at Ole Miss for the spring 2013 season where he suffered a knee injury. His knee injury was so severe that it was described as career-ending. He spent the 2014-15 season at Oklahoma State, but did not participate with the football team. According to the Liberty University release, Morgan will sit out the 2015 season due to NCAA transfer policies, but will be eligible to complete beginning in 2016.
He was a 3-star prospect out of high school and ranked as a top-25 national tight end by Rivals. As a senior at Prestonwood Christian Academy, he had 31 receptions for 497 yards and 5 touchdowns. Morgan was a converted offensive lineman and is known primarily for his blocking ability.
