For the first time in school history, Liberty football will play in front of a home crowd that is officially considered a SELL OUT. Liberty made the announcement on Thursday as the Flames prepare to take on BYU this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPNU.

Under head coach Hugh Freeze, Liberty football has risen to never before seen heights. With a 6-1 record so far this season, the Flames have become bowl eligible for a fourth straight year. On Saturday, Liberty will play the most anticipated and biggest home game in school history as the 4-3 BYU Cougars come to Lynchburg. BYU is currently listed as a 7 point favorite.

“Excited that we get to host a game like this, of this importance, against a quality opponent like BYU,” said Coach Freeze on Thursday. “Just got word this is the first official sellout in school history. I like doing things that are first, we can add that one to the list. It’s exciting. It will be an exciting weekend on The Mountain, hopefully we can make enough plays to have a chance there in the 4th quarter.”

Don’t have tickets to the game, don’t worry ASOR is currently running a promotion where one Liberty fan will be able to win six tickets to Saturday’s game against BYU. To enter this contest, click here.
