Former Penn State kicker and current Liberty student Alex Barbir has announced that he has joined the Liberty football team.
Barbir was the 11th best kicker in the class of 2016 and a 3-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He signed with Penn State where he redshirted in 2016 and saw playing time in 3 games in 2017 as a kickoff specialist. In December 2017, he decided to transfer from Penn State. He enrolled at Liberty, where he has been a student since but not on the football team.
