The Sun Belt puts expansion on hold, for now. Commissioner Karl Benson said, “we’re just watching and waiting. It’s definitely on hold.” This goes with what we heard from Liberty Athletics Director Jeff Barber in our podcast last week. Benson also added, “If there was another Georgia Southern out there right now that might make the decision a little easier.” In their first year in the Sun Belt, Georgia Southern is 4-0 in league play.
