As noted Thursday afternoon, Liberty has added Tanner Hartman, an offensive lineman from Penn State. Hartman attended high school at nearby LCA and will have 4 years of eligibility remaining.
Liberty linebacker Nick Sigmon has been named to the 2014 CFPA FCS Linebacker Award Watch List. Sigmon is one of 38 linebackers listed and joins Big South brethren Quinn Backus (Coastal), Tanner Burch (GWU), and Chad Geter (GWU) who are also on the list.
Here‘s an update on Samkon Gado who has finished his NFL career after playing for 5 different teams. Gado is now in his 3rd year of medical school as he plans on becoming an ENT physician in his native country of Nigeria as a medical missionary.
Play fantasy football? Rashad Jennings could be a major steal in most leagues as he is expected to be the team’s starter “with no plans for a full-blown timeshare.”
Mike Brown is busy fighting to make the 53 man roster in Jacksonville. Coach Gus Bradley “lit up” when talking about Mike during the first week of OTAS, “Mike Brown is really, really solid…he’s playing with a lot of confidence right now.”
