The game times and locations for the NCAA Tournament were announced late on Sunday night after the seedings and matchups were released. No. 12 seed Liberty will take on No. 5 seed Oregon on Friday at 10:10 pm Eastern in Seattle, Washington’s Climate Pledge Arena. The game will air on TruTV and Lisa Byington, Robbie Hummel, Jalen Rose, and Andy Katz will be on the call.
The winner of Friday’s contest will advance to play the winner of No. 4 seed Arizona and No. 13 seed Akron on Sunday. The winner of that second-round game will advance to the Sweet 16 the following weekend.
The Flames are 28-6 (13-5 CUSA) while the Ducks are 24-9 (12-8 Big 10). The Ducks have been to the tournament eight times under coach Dana Altman and have advanced at least one game in each of those appearances. They rebounded from a five-game losing streak to win eight straight before losing to Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament this past Friday.
Liberty has won 14 of its past 16 games, including three straight in Huntsville, Alabama this past week to secure the program’s first ever CUSA Tournament title and 7th NCAA Tournament bid.
Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Seattle, located North of downtown. It is the home of the Seattle Kraken of the NHL and the Seattle Storm of the WNBA with a capacity of 18,300. Other games that will be played on Friday in Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena are Arizona vs Akron (7:35 p.m. ET), Maryland vs Grand Canyon (4:35 p.m. ET), and Memphis vs Colorado State (2 p.m. ET).
