Congratulations to Liberty football safety Jacob Hagen who was selected as FlamesNation’s Player of the Year for 2014. Hagen is a repeat winner after being selected as FlamesNation POY in 2013.
Hagen was named 1st team all-Big South following his standout senior season for the Flames’ football team. He led the team with 108 tackles and 8 interceptions. He also added 1 fumble recovery which he returned 27 yards for a touchdown against North Carolina. He sealed the win over Appalachian State with his interception in the end zone in overtime. His 15 career interceptions rank 2nd on the all time Big South list.
