Liberty continues to add an infusion of talent to its 2022 football roster by way of the transfer portal. On Sunday, the Flames picked up a commitment from Hawaii transfer running back Dae Dae Hunter.
Hunter, 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, a sophomore, led Hawaii in rushing this season, rushing for 651 yards on 101 carries with three touchdowns.
He is originally from Chandler, Arizona where he left Chandler High School as an All-Arizona performer and among the top players in the state, graduating in the same class at former Tucson Salpointe Catholic running back Bijan Robinson, who now stars at Texas.
In his only season at Chandler, he ran for 1,748 yards and 33 touchdowns, averaging 11.5 yards a carry in the Wolves’ 13-0 season.
